Barney was amazing. He always knew where to find the animals and what they were probably going to do next. He was very helpful and friendly all the time.

Barney was incredibly helpful and his knowledge of the area, the animals, the plants was incredible. He predicted the animal’s movements a couple of times and put us in the best position to see the action. we out maneuvered all other vehicles to get the best look. He is friendly. quick to laugh and just an overall great guide and person. We enjoyed the time with him and was sad to depart away from him. We are planning a return trip and will work our schedule around when Barney can guide us.

Barney was the best guy one could ask for. Very knowledgeable. Great at spotting game. Very friendly and accommodating. When we return we will definitely ask for him again.

We can’t say enough positive things about our guide Barney. He was knowledgeable, friendly, interested in our questions and opinions and managed to pique our interest in things that we didn’t know we wanted to know about. Despite some long days, he was always enthusiastic and prepared for the next adventure and was a particularly apt role model of hakuna matata. He was a skillful driver over some very bumpy roads, even as he scouted out wildlife hiding both near and far. We learned a lot about Tanzanian culture and recent history from him, as well as animal, plant and insect habitats and their symbiotic relationship. He did an excellent job creating special moments for us and gave us a glimpse into how people live and work during our brief stay in Arusha. He was a comfortable and fun person to be around and our friends and family have heard many Barney stories as we’ve shared tales from our trip. Asante sana, Barney.

We really enjoyed our time with Barney. He was always very cheerful and seemed proud to be sharing his country with us. He set our expectations well and drove carefully. It was quite amazing to see him negotiating pot holes while spotting distant wildlife. He clearly has a great relationship with the other guides and his experience led us to wonderful wildlife. Each day seemed to top the day before!

I felt like I got a course in zoology, geology, geography, and Tanzanian culture. His knowledge is encyclopedic and as an academic, I am not easily dazzled. Barney is such a credit to your organization, not only he is an outstanding guide, he is an exceptional human being.

Our driver, Barney, was EXCEPTIONAL! He was prompt, energetic, easy going and always tuned into our needs. We asked him hundreds of questions and he knew the answers. We also appreciated that he was an excellent driver and we felt safe. He is also very respectful of other vehicles and has a great relationship with all of the other drivers. He’s just a great human being and by the end of the trip, we told him that he was now part of our family.
