Great experience with a fantastic guide

Alex was professional and was never hesitant to stop the car and talk about animals, although we’ve seen them a few times already. He never seem stressed and he was always (it seemed) looking for a better place for the car so that we could get a better view. Impressive effort since it was quite a lot of driving.

One afternoon, we were actually heading back to camp, he said that he just wanted to check something out. We drove off and suddenly heads up in the bush where an antelope was staring at something. Turns out the antelope is looking at a cheetah with her cub that wasn’t visible from where we headed up in the bush. No other humans present. Maybe this is basic guide skills but to us it was a fantastic experience. And I guess that the one hour detour in the afternoon says something about Alex’ will to make your trip really special.

“We got other quotes, but Access was very competitive and we were drawn to their philosophy and the fact that the tour operation runs alongside a local charitable organization (Project Zawadi) that educates and sponsors orphans.  They were excellent, and it was just Fiona, me and our guide, Maningo – who was GREAT!”
