Mikumi National Park

Description: Mikumi, transected by the surfaced road from Dar es Salaam to Iringa is the most accessible park in the Southern circuit. The centerpiece of Mikumi is the abundant wildlife of the Mkata Floodplains that draw frequent comparisons to the more famous Serengeti Plains. Lions survey their grassy kingdom – and the zebra, wildebeest, impala and buffalo herds that migrate across it – from the flattened tops of termite mounds. It is perhaps the most reliable place in Tanzania to view the eland, the world’s largest antelope.

“Excellent! Good advice and suggestions were made about where to go and what to see and do. Overall, a very well organized agency that provided relevant information when planning an “out of the ordinary” trip! Staff members were readily available to answer questions and make suggestions. Our trip went off without a hitch! Very, very well organized and was extremely impressed with every aspect of this company!! I would recommend to anyone interested in booking a safari to Tanzania to go thru A2T! The Guides we dealt with were wonderful!”
