Mikumi National Park

Description: Mikumi, transected by the surfaced road from Dar es Salaam to Iringa is the most accessible park in the Southern circuit. The centerpiece of Mikumi is the abundant wildlife of the Mkata Floodplains that draw frequent comparisons to the more famous Serengeti Plains. Lions survey their grassy kingdom – and the zebra, wildebeest, impala and buffalo herds that migrate across it – from the flattened tops of termite mounds. It is perhaps the most reliable place in Tanzania to view the eland, the world’s largest antelope.

“Access 2 Tanzania was 10/10! This trip was a dream come true and well exceeded my expectations! From the planning stages through the execution of the trip, I was thoroughly impressed. I really appreciated the time Casey took to go over all of the details and to ensure that every aspect of the trip aligned with the vision. Casey was extremely thorough, thoughtful and timely throughout the entire process. The level of professionalism of each staff member that we worked with was excellent! Would absolutely refer others to this company and will certainly use again!”
