Ray had a way about him that immediately put everyone at ease. He respected the wildlife, was able to position us in such a way that we had “front row seats” to the animal behaviors without impeding on their way of life. We quickly started calling him “Hawk Eyes” as he was able to spot multiple different animals from a distance, even without binoculars! This is how we were able to see a momma Cheetah with her cubs, and Black Rhino’s. He also had an app on his phone to be able to pull the specific type of bird we came across and share it with us in the car to help answer any questions we had about the species and behaviors. Ray always showed up early and ready to start the day. Each day after our game drives he cleaned the car both inside and out. He provided some local snacks and ensured we had water and sodas in the cooler. Towards the end of our time with Ray, he asked what else we wanted to see – as he had already fulfilled what we had hoped to see – and he was thoroughly excited when we told him…

We couldn’t ask for a better guide. From his depth of knowledge of the floral and fauna of Tanzania to his interactions with us and other travelers he exceeded all our expectations. We felt safe and secure at all times and while others were getting stuck in the mud he got us through in the toughest places. He adjusted to our wishes and seemed to be able to spot game at every turn from a group of ants to the mighty elephant. His narrative and diction were clear and easily understood by the group even when some of us had some hearing impairments. He waited patiently while we captured the moments and made sure all of our needs were met. He constantly reminded us that “Life is Good” by his positive attitude and understood the need for downtime.

Raymond was amazing. He was excellent in every regard. He is smart, wise, kind, has good judgment, knows his animals.

Oh, where to begin other than “Life is Good… with Raymond!” He was superlative. Above and beyond. Everything stated about him is true. He knows TZ and where to find animals and the other guides all know him. He was very respectful of how we collaborated with other guides in making sure everyone got an opportunity via how the jeeps were parked etc. He was also very respectful of the wildlife, never compromising their well being just to please us.

Absolutely, hands down, the best guide ever! HE was prompt, friendly, extremely knowledgable, knew where to find the animals, very personable, unflappable, patient. I cannot say enough good things about Ray. A wonderful guide, a fabulous person!

Raymond was amazing in every way!

Raymond made the trip for us, his knowledge was amazing, and he had the best personality. “Life is good” was his quote! He can spot an animal a mile away!

Unbelievable! Not only was Raymond incredibly knowledgeable about all the animals and African culture, he was enthusiastic and determined to make our trip as enjoyable as possible.

Raymond our tour guide was the best. He made sure that we got the most out of our Safari’s every day. He was determined we were going to see everything. The only thing we did not see were the Rhinos but is was not for Raymond not trying. He is so knowledgeable about all the wild life and the culture. He took very good care of us. Never felt unsafe with him. I told him he has bionic eyes because he could spot anything. And I also called him a Wild Animal Whisper. LOL!

Raymond was wonderful. He always found all the animals every day. As ladies, he let us know bathroom stops were nearby except for the Serengeti which we had to experience the bush…it was fine. Much easier than I thought! Raymond was a delight and we joked with each other often. He gets a 10! Send him my best. He even got bonus points some days!
