We love Raymond and ask for him each time we come to Tanzania. He is knowledgable, fun to be with, and a wonderful human being.

Ray was great – thoughtful, hospitable, knowledgeable. Would totally take any safari with him again as our guide. He loved what he does, and it shows. He always ended every trip with, “Life is good!” And his enthusiasm is contagious. Thank you, Ray!

Raymond was our guide and we can’t say enough good things about him! He immediately put us at ease when he picked us up at the Kilimanjaro Airport late at night. We were exhausted from the long flights but he made us feel welcomed and let us know that he was going to take good care of us. Ray is an excellent guide but aside from his extensive knowledge of the animals and of the areas we toured, he is friendly and has a great sense of humor! His skills in spotting animals and in driving the safari truck in very difficult terrain were remarkable. Ray constantly worked to provide us with the best safari experience possible and to show us the most extraordinary animals and terrain. He cares deeply about the wildlife and has a profound respect for all creatures. He would maneuver the truck to the best and safest position for us to view the animals all the while being careful not to disturb them in any way. Ray would also evaluate the lighting and help to put us in a spot where the sunlight would be most favorable for our photography. During the trip we saw guides…

Our guide was awesome. Ray was knowledgeable, professional, and friendly. Perhaps more importantly, he was safe and we always felt that he had our safety at the forefront. He was also honest about Tanzania, its challenges and its promise. Beyond all of this, we could tell that Ray truly cared about the country, the parks, and the animals. He loves his job and it shows and that is a truly special thing.

Raymond is an excellent guide. Accommodating to our desires. Managed every aspect of the trip from box lunches to schedules. An excellent driver and very knowledgeable of animals, history, and parks.

Ray was very knowledgeable, friendly, funny and overall a great guide. We felt we clicked with Ray very quickly, he was great at making recommendations for the day ahead and also understanding what we wanted to do and get out of our trip. We couldn’t imagine going on safari again without Ray to be our guide!

Raymond was like a professor of nature in Tanzania. He went above and beyond to give us the trip of a lifetime. It was obvious that he loves what he does, and his enthusiasm ignited our experience. Raymond was great! His knowledge of animal behavior was vast, his knowledge of the parks and where animals might be was exceptional, he planned with us each day and we had a variety of goals over the trip-going from first seeing the animals to a deeper study of their mating, birthing, child rearing and finally bird identification. We had a list of “the best of the day” each and every day.

Ray was a great guy and we’d love to work with him again. I was very interested in getting great images of the animals and he made that a priority for me–he KNEW the best angles to take the image. It was also important for me to see a rhino and we saw THREE in Ngorongoro. When we got a flat tire in the crater, it wasn’t a big deal–he is great under pressure. He is a kind and funny person. When other guides from other companies were going off road (illegally), Ray did not, which speaks volumes to his ethics and love of wildlife/nature.
