Thank you for giving us Wilfred to lead our tour. He had great insight into the animal’s backgrounds, their instincts, their protective mannerisms. Wilfred had sharp eyesight which allowed us to see/experience things that we would not have seen on our own. Certainly, the easy answer would be to follow the other jeeps, but Wilfred many times went his own ways and we were rewarded with seeing neat situations such as a leopard in the Serengeti, cheetahs in Tarangire, and a wildebeest stampede in the Serengeti. We were also able to see a rhinoceros at Ngorogoron park. We were able to see the BIG FIVE.

Wilfred was one of the best guides I have ever had. He had a wealth of knowledge about the country, the people, the parks, and the wildlife. He answered all our questions thoughtfully and was very articulate. He often showed us the bird or animal pictures from his guide book so that we could read more details. We enjoyed our safari with Wilfred and would highly recommend him to others. He is an excellent driver and that is important on the rough terrain in the parks. He was always very polite and made sure we were all comfortable each day before we set. Wilfred always told what the plan was for the day and made sure that plan was OK with us. He went out of his way to plan a tour day in Arusha for us at the end of our trip and that was very special! Most of all, we had fun on our safari!

Excellent. I am amazed at Wilfred’s ability to find animals and birds. He gave us the amount of time we needed to watch the animals and asked if we were ready to move on. I felt comfortable being that close to the animals. He was very willing to work with us.

Wilfred (or Chillfred as my kids referred to him) was great. Very knowledgeable and accommodating – extremely professional. Even when our jeep broke down in the middle of the Serengeti with no one around – that man knows his stuff. How he jerryrigged the shocks for the vehicle was inspiring to behold. Used a guidebook to help us identify certain birds and animals. He listened to us and allowed us our own space. Had a keen eye – communicated with other drivers often. We were very happy with him as our guide – felt safe in his care and tremendously appreciated his time with us.

Wilfred was a great safari guide and he was very knowledgeable and got us great views of wildlife. In addition, he has pretty good camera skills. He definitely made the trip that much more enjoyable.

Wilfred…Fredy as we call him…was absolutely wonderful. He was so knowledgeable about all of the animals and plants. He took great care of us and we knew we were in good hands.

Wilfred was outstanding. He went out of his way to make sure we got the best opportunities to see the animals we were looking for. He also has a wealth of knowledge concerning the wildlife and local culture and ecosystems.

Wilfred was exceptionally friendly and enjoyable. I appreciated his sense of humor. His knowledge about Tanzania was awesome. He will forever be in my heart.

Excellent. In terms of skill as a guide (knowledge of wildlife, the parks, how to find what we wanted to see, etc.), Wilfred was great. Just as importantly, though, Wilfred was excellent on a personal level. He was friendly, funny and personable and we enjoyed spending our days with him. At the same time, he was excellent at reading the situation and knowing what kind of clients we were. As an example, since it was our honeymoon and a time for us to relax, sometimes we wanted to just sit and stare out the window without chatting much as we drove or call it a day a little early so we could relax by the pool or on the porch of our tent / lodge. He clearly understood that without us even having to say anything. Of course, we knew we knew we could dictate our schedule but it was so much easier when your guide anticipates what you’ll want to do even before you say anything. Overall, he was great.

Wilfred is truly outstanding and I cannot imaging anyone being any better at his job than he is. Fran and I both fell in love with Wilfred and I hope he felt and still feels like part of our family. Punctual, professional and extremely likable are just a few of his traits.
