A Perfect 10
My family of 5 ( 3 daughters – age 19, 22, 23) just finished a 10 day Tanzania trip and couldn’t have been more impressed with Access2Tanzania. Would highly highly recommend!!!
We started working with Karen in the summer of 2018 for a December 2020 safari. Of course COVID got in the way… but they were consummate professionals throughout that time and then when we re-engaged with them over the last 18 months for this trip.
She couldn’t have been more knowledgeable and helpful curating our trip in regards to accommodations (1 hotel and 3 camps), airport, flights, visas, packing, safaris, village visits, tipping etc. They’ve been doing this for quite some time and it shows. She and Access2Tanzania get a 10!
Moreover and most comfortable (for my wife especially) was having ONE GUIDE for the entire trip. (Many tourists use the local camp guides which will change from camp site to camp site). We had one person the WHOLE time (with the exception of our last day upon our return to Arusha awaiting our flight to US).
Which now brings us to our guide—-Joachim!! Joachim!! Joachim!”
I’m confident all other A2T guides are excellent… but on a scale of 1 to 10…Joachim gets a 12! … if not more.
From the time he picked us at JRO… he became our driver, our guide and our new friend. He was with us from the time we landed… for 8 days until the time we took off from the Serengeti. Always there to greet us in the morning, drive us during the day either for safari game drives (Lake Manyara, Ngorongoro Crater, or Serengeti), between camps or for other activities (village visits, hikes etc).
His communication skills and English are outstanding. No language barriers here.
His knowledge was incredible … whether of Tanzania, Safari Animals, Game Drives, our accommodations, our activities etc…Joachim was an expert on all.
His driving skills were superb. On road … Off road…Easy roads… Hard roads…Safari Game drives. My wife and all always felt safe…. He had excellent knowledge on where to find the different animals. All in all he found us 28 different species throughout the week.
Last… His care and thoughtfulness. He strived to make everyday as perfect as possible. Mission accomplished!
“Overall, we had a very good impression of A2T as a company. A2T had been undoubtedly very customer-oriented, which was evident from the very beginning of the tour, that is, booking. The extra mile A2T spent on calls to understand our requirements and then come up with the final itinerary was ver assuring. Later we almost had to backtrack from the trip due to Ebola concerns, and the extra time allowed for us to make the final decision was very helpful.
Later on during the trip, we had a special situation which required overnight usage of electricity. Our guide, Mussa, and Stella from the Arusha office really reached out to resolve that issue by sending a charger from Arusha to Karatu. The solution was impressive (also unexpected), and it became just another good example of A2T’s emphasis on customer services.
Our guide, Mussa, was great. We all liked him very much. I will talk more about him later (assuming there is another column to discuss).”
