David did an outstanding job in helping us to have the best possible Tanzanian safari experience. He provided expertise and knowledge to see that our schedule fit best with the likely availability of the animals, maneuvered the vehicle so that we could obtain the optimal photographs, showed consideration & respect for other people and animals, offered assistance in moving luggage and other tasks, kept the vehicle in clean working condition, skillfully navigated rough unpaved & unmarked roads, worked long hours to satisfy our desire to maximize our time in the field…all while maintaining a pleasant demeanor. He drove over to help another vehicle that was stuck in mud, but only after first asking us whether it was all right. We felt like we were in competent hands. David is friendly and talkative but not overbearing. He is obviously very experienced, yet he often made it seem like he was just as thrilled as we were to spot a bird, cheetah, black mamba, dung beetle or birthing wildebeest.
“I thought it well-run and organized. It is a scary venture, heading into a completely different environment and culture. We never felt lost or abandoned or at any time unsettled or unsafe. And this was entirely because of the on site staff and our guide. This supports the company’s description that while the infrastructure may be managed by folks both in the US and in TZ, the training and support of the staff to care for us and manage our trip was incredible. Even with a minor medical need for antibiotics way in the midst of the Serengeti, our guide was in touch with A2T staff and arranged a stop in at a local remote clinic to get what we needed. We didn’t miss a moment of our adventure and our companion received excellent medical care. We moved around a lot and yet we never had transportation glitches or hotel issues. It was seamless.”
