Maningo is simply an amazing guide and a credit to his profession. From our first meeting to our sad farewell he did everything possible to make our safari meaningful, educational and beautiful. He is passionate about his work and we caught his enthusiasm for Tanzania and its treasures. At the end of our time together, on the the way to the airport he wouldn’t rest until we saw a male lion and a leopard to give us our “big five”. He showed us so many amazing things and taught us that patience pays off with animals as it did when we saw a lion kill an antelope right in front of us. We were two women travelling together and we were safe, respected and fortunate to have such a skilled guide to help us navigate a trip of a lifetime.
“What an amazing family experience. From the moment Willy picked us up at the airport to the moment he dropped us off we felt right at home. It’s hard to put into words the experience because it was truly life changing. You’d expect that we would say seeing lions (and boy did Willy the lion whisperer know how to find lions!) was the highlight. Don’t get me wrong that was wild! But our connection with Willy and doing things like visiting an orphanage and going to his house for a typical African dinner were outstanding. To have a little glimmer of how people in another country and culture live is to forage a lasting connection. We cried when we had to part with Willy because he had become family to us”
