Ray was exceptional in service and knowledge as well as being an all round good sport. He was aways on time, (even when we were not :-)). He was an excellent driver and took the time to think through various obstacles that came up and then make a decision based on his experience and it seemed to work out without any problems. He could be a little reserved at times but he has a 9 year old daughter and a 3 year old son, as well as his wife is in nursing school and away from their kids, so I appreciate that he misses his kids. It made our experience and connection more real and not just about seeing wildlife. Overall, I was pleased with his performance as a guide.
“Outstanding. Taking a safari with a group of 6 people, ages 13- 76, four of whom have never been to Africa, requires a lot of logistics and planning. Casey was super thorough (and patient) in answering all of our questions. Itinerary planning was surprisingly easy because he listened to what we wanted, and his first draft was super close to our final draft. We loved hearing that folks who work for Access (Wilfred, Juma) really respect what the company is doing with the community through Project Zawadi and how they are treated as employees. All of the materials sent in advance (packing materials, itineraries, visa instructions, phone calls, videos) made us feel super prepared. Casey went above and beyond to cover a transfer in Zanzibar and recommend places to stay. Logistics on the ground were literally seamless. Wilfred is incredibly professional, organized, knowledgeable, kind, and fun. He was mindful of everyone’s needs and consistently checked in to make sure we were good. He went above and beyond in helping my aunt, who needs some mobility support.”
