An unforgettable adventure
Wilfred is amazing. We spent about 12 days with him, and by the end the three of us were just as comfortable talking about family and life as we were sitting in companionable silence. We were a perfect match for each other in temperament. He went out of his way to make our trips easy. We told him we walked Moshi and felt a little uncomfortable in our first morning. He volunteered to walk us around town without us asking. He saw I liked coke, so he started picking up snacks and sodas for us, again without asking and certainly free of charge. We didn’t finish a few of our lunch boxes, he noticed and asked us what we liked and didn’t like. He talked to the various lodges and camps and told them, every box going forward was completely finished. We were in Central Serengeti, but I had an itch to see the Wildebeest migration. It was far away and no one knew exactly where. He easily could have said “sure, I’ll try” and told us it was impossible. Instead, he found a way to get us to the middle of the migration. His knowledge is obvious. He had answers for all of our questions, about the animals and local life. He was an excellent guide and great person. We miss eating dinners with him and sharing stories. Wilfred made the trip for us. Because of him, we’re thrilled to recommend A2T to any of our family friends or colleagues who may travel to Africa.
“Overall, we had a very good impression of A2T as a company. A2T had been undoubtedly very customer-oriented, which was evident from the very beginning of the tour, that is, booking. The extra mile A2T spent on calls to understand our requirements and then come up with the final itinerary was ver assuring. Later we almost had to backtrack from the trip due to Ebola concerns, and the extra time allowed for us to make the final decision was very helpful.
Later on during the trip, we had a special situation which required overnight usage of electricity. Our guide, Mussa, and Stella from the Arusha office really reached out to resolve that issue by sending a charger from Arusha to Karatu. The solution was impressive (also unexpected), and it became just another good example of A2T’s emphasis on customer services.
Our guide, Mussa, was great. We all liked him very much. I will talk more about him later (assuming there is another column to discuss).”
