Tanzania Guide: Maningo
Amazing!
Maningo was awesome. I was travelling with my 85 year old aunt. He was so patient and helpful with her. We felt like a friend was guiding us and not an employee.
Excellent Guide
Maningo met us at JRO as promised and was friendly and informative. He always provided a step stool for David and also the welcome extra cushions. Always pleasant, personable, attentive to our needs and very knowledgeable about the wildlife we were seeing. He spoke often with the other guides and rendered assistance to others on a couple of occasions. He drove us flawlessly through very rugged territory.
The land is amazing-the people are magical!
Maningo was most pleasant. I never felt I couldn’t ask a question. He was keen at spotting game and giving details about most any wildlife situation. He provided a reference guide that was fascinating. He drove carefully and respectfully not only of his passengers but also of the environment. He found a school for us to visit in spite of the examinations that made a visit to the public school unavailable.
Truly a trip of a lifetime
Maningo was outstanding. His personality was a perfect fit for us. Very interested in customer satisfaction. Driving skills were outstanding. He was always considerate of his customer’s comfort. His knowledge of fauna was very good too. He had a good sense of humor. Just the right blend of smarts and casualness. He was always on the lookout for animals and spotted so many different treasures.

We felt well taken care of with Maningo. He is professional, patient, accommodating, easy going, and phenomenal at spotting animals. We also appreciated his driving – we certainly saw others get “stuck,” but Maningo maneuvered everything.
Fabulous
Maningo was really wonderful. He offered us just what we asked for and he was always anticipating our needs. He was a joy to be with and seemed to know every animal, bird, tree and so it was a constant education. I regret we didn’t ask more about the history and development of Tanzania and get into more depth, but what we did want to know about was readily answered by Maningo.
Kept Us Safe
A great guide who kept us safe during some hard (rainy) driving conditions and who had an eagle eye for animal spotting.
Best Guide In Tanzania
We feel we got the best guide in Tanzania. Every day, Mr. Maningo asked us what we wanted to see, and then he would find it. He loves to laugh and joke. He left his wife and newborn child in the hospital to fulfill his obligation to us. He knows how to network with other drivers to find the great sights of the Serengeti. Maningo, seemingly quite but friendly and courteous, is a fun loving individual with a good sense of humor. His knowledge of animal, culture and geography is abundant. His driving skills convey experience with carefulness. His ability to seek and spot game rates a 10. Maningo is very detail oriented, not forgetting a thing that is mentioned. Maningo was wonderful…
a very gentle but knowledgeable guide. He was great. We especially liked that we could watch a group of animals for a long period- there was no hurry to get someplace else. He was always polite and patient with a sly wit.
