Noel was absolutely amazing. He is very knowledgeable, polite, professional, and at all times had our best interests in mind. Several times during our visit, he went out of his way to ensure we saw all the best sites and animals. He was very helpful ensuring that we had everything we needed/wanted during the entire trip, including check in/check out at hotels, lodges, etc. If/when we go back to Tanzania, we will definitely request to have Noel as our guide. He is top notch!

It is hard to describe Noel’s performance. He is personable and patient. Noel is an excellent guide who makes every attempt to give you accurate information. He seems as excited as we were about our wildlife viewing. He listened to our requests and made helpful suggestions in planning our game drive each day. He networks with the other guides as well as anyone else who has wildlife information–even a utility truck driver. I think Noel knows everyone. He was extremely successful in locating wildlife. He made our safari incredible. We kept a record of animal species we identified each day. I am sure we missed recording some of them, but we identified a total of 167 animals, including birds and reptiles. A careful driver, he makes you feel safe in the busy city of Arusha as well as comfortable on the nearly-impassable roads in the Serengeti. I respect his habit of following the park’s guidelines about staying on the roads and not driving across the grass in pursuit of the animals. We loved spending time with Noel. We had as much fun just talking with him as we did seeing the animals. We learned so much about Tanzania through Noel. He can was always so patient and kind with us, always smiling and laidback. We were impressed how respected he was by the other guides and rangers, as well. That is so important because they rely on each other for help animal spotting and the road conditions. Noel is a real legend!

I’m sure everyone is great, but we feel like we won the lottery with Noel! He is so funny and calm and nice… he was just a pleasure to spend time with and get to know. He enjoyed our company too… even after we put the fake rubber snake on his chair! We all consider him a friend.

Noel was amazing! He was so kind and thoughtful in the way he tried to make sure we were getting everything we wanted out of the trip. He was active on the radio to find animals that certain people in our family wanted to see, helped us stop to get some local roadside food in one of the towns we were driving through, and was always flexible with us on timing/scheduling for each day, including noticing and adapting to our energy levels. It was very impressive how he could spot / identify animals from such a distance, as well as speak knowledgeably about their behaviors and characteristics. It was great to see him light up when talking about his family, hear him open up more about things in Tanzania beyond the scope of just our safari, and ask us questions about our own lives and life back in the US. My (our) experience in Tanzania would not have been the same without Noel!!

Noel is a knowledgeable, caring soul who related well with all the personalities in our families. He knew what he was doing at all times. I must commend him for handling the very challenging driving conditions/roads throughout the trip. He showed great concern and empathy when one member of our group had a bad health day. A video we have of him dancing with our youngest son (who is 32) in the middle of the Serengeti and finding music on the radio that our son wanted showed Noel’s ability to relate to different people. He communicated well with us about what we wanted, made great suggestions and interacted effectively with other guides to get us to what we wanted relatively quickly. He always had a positive and empathetic attitude.
