We absolutely loved our trip and, most especially, our incredible guide Wilfred. We can’t recommend him highly enough. From the moment he picked us up at the airport, he was professional, friendly, kind and always on the lookout for some way to delight us–whether that was spotting an adorable baby elephant, or picking up tasty snacks, or making a special stop so I could buy some beautiful fabric (for which he negotiated a great price). It didn’t take more than a day or so before he was one of us, laughing and singing and joining in our conversation, mock-interviews on the GoPro camera and just general silliness. I can’t remember the last time I laughed as much as I did on this trip. Wilfred told us that, at each camp, all the other guides would ask about our group because they saw what a good time we were having together. We weren’t even drunk, as many suspected, we were just enjoying ourselves tremendously, and Wilfred was a big reason why. Wilfred did a great job making sure we were comfortable. He was knowledgeable about the animals we saw. He went out of his was to make sure we saw some really exciting stuff.

Wilfred was very knowledgeable about the parks and animals. He had a great sense of humor.

Wilfred is amazing. We spent about 12 days with him, and by the end the three of us were just as comfortable talking about family and life as we were sitting in companionable silence. We were a perfect match for each other in temperament. He went out of his way to make our trips easy. We told him we walked Moshi and felt a little uncomfortable in our first morning. He volunteered to walk us around town without us asking. He saw I liked coke, so he started picking up snacks and sodas for us, again without asking and certainly free of charge. We didn’t finish a few of our lunch boxes, he noticed and asked us what we liked and didn’t like. He talked to the various lodges and camps and told them, every box going forward was completely finished. We were in Central Serengeti, but I had an itch to see the Wildebeest migration. It was far away and no one knew exactly where. He easily could have said “sure, I’ll try” and told us it was impossible. Instead, he found a way to get us to the middle of the migration. Wilfred far exceeded our expectations. He was a great & safe driver. He was very bright & knowledgeable. He was fun and a joy to spend time with. He was very professional. Wilfred was a great fit for our family and our 3 kids loved him (and my husband & I too). He was a happy guy and a lot of fun to be with. Wilfred had an amazing ability to find & identify animals.

I really LOVED Wilfred, he was great in all aspects, and would highly recommend him to others.

Very knowledgeable about flora and fauna and ability to spot and locate rare animals. Very patient and very accommodating & clicked well with our daughter –answering her questions and accommodating her interests. Wilfred made our safari trip very memorable.

Where do I start with Wilfred?! He was definitely the perfect guide for us. He easily connected with our strong personalities and we quickly developed a camaraderie with him. He took care of me when I didn’t feel well to check and see what I needed, as well as ensured I continued to feel OK as the days passed. We always felt safe with him and he was a great driver. He was amazing at spotting wildlife from far distances; I was constantly telling him I had no idea how he could see that far. He was very knowledgeable of all the wildlife; easily giving us bird names, informing us about the habitats of various species, even explaining mating practices of lions and giraffes. We were more than pleased with him as a guide and would highly recommend him to anyone.
