We could not have asked for a better guide. Fulgence was so good with the kids and the adults. He honestly could not have improved on anything. Our whole family still misses him!

Absolutely the best guy we could’ve possibly had. I cannot imagine anybody being better than Fulgence.

Fulgence was the highlight of our trip to Tanzania. His temperament, insights and keen eye for wildlife made all the difference in the world. We really got a chance to learn about life in Tanzania through him and he was so generous in sharing his knowledge. Everywhere we went he seemed to have a friend, and they were all happy to see him too – – he’s well respected and trusted throughout the community. He also helped other guides when they were in a pinch. We were always in good hands with Fulgence.

Fulgence was outstanding. There wasn’t a question he couldn’t answer about Tanzania, the wildlife, everything. We found out later that he was dealing with a colleague’s death while we were there. We had no idea and it did not seem to hinder his performance with us at all. We especially loved all the effort he put into finding new birds for us. We hope Fulgence comes to the Twin Cities someday, so we can say hello to him in Minnesota!

Can’t say enough about how great Fulgence was, from the moment he met us at Kilimanjaro airport to dropping us at Seronera. He shepherded us through every aspect of our safari with patience and kindness. His knowledge of animals, birds, plants, climate etc. is amazing. He helped us understand Tanzania and its people, its politics, the culture, agriculture. He became a friend and it was difficult to say goodbye.

Fulgence was FANTASTIC! He was funny, knowledgable and never tired of answering our questions. He diligently worked on getting us to see the best animal sightings.

Fulgence was amazing, very knowledgeable and provided us with a lot of information about the area as well as all the animals. There was not a question or a situation when he did not have an answer.  Overall we felt very safe with him and had great adventure . He was always very friendly and connected well with everybody. His wildlife knowledge is superior and he himself seems genuinely interested in nature.

Our family loved Fulgence! I imagine most review’s start that way but he was really great. I felt like he was the best guide in each park at finding animals. He does an excellent job of providing educational information in an engaging way to meets everyone’s interests. Our family asked a LOT of questions and he answered everyone of them like it was the first time asked. In my profession, feedback for personal growth is really important and I struggle to identify feedback for him on how to improve. My impression is that other guides might be more interested in their guests – names, what they do, etc. and Fulgence doesn’t ask those questions but I don’t think that is a negative. I just felt like we liked him more than he liked us because we are total fans like I wanted to start a Fulgence fan club during our time there and thought I might cry when we left him. He seems to love his job which makes everyone have a better experience. I cannot even believe how much he knows about the animals, birds, Tanzania, etc. It makes a traveler want a guide like him on every experience.…

Fulgence is incredibly friendly and unbelievably knowledgeable about all of the animals we saw, as well as the lands and local tribes. There was no question we asked that he couldn’t answer. He went above and beyond to find animals we mentioned wanting to see and was able to find everything!!! We felt safe and comfortable with him as our guide and had a lot of fun joking around with him. We would recommend a safari with Fulgence to everyone and felt sad when the trip was over!

Wow, wow, wow! 100 % the best guide and driver. A complete eagle-eyed biologist. So experienced, knowledgeable, patient, super teacher and driver. Taught us some Swahili, how to look for animals and birds, and identify them…..Great sense of humour. Very kind to everyone we met. Diplomatic. Loves his job. Hope to meet him again when we return!
