Maningo was great! Very knowledgeable about basically everything, including some stupid questions that we undoubtedly asked him. Seriously, when you ask him, this guy knows everything about everything. After 10 years of being a safari guide, he still loves his job and it shows. Not a big talker, but very warm, helpful, friendly, and great to hang around with on long safari drives.

Maningo was knowledgeable, a good driver, sharply observant, understood our needs and wishes.

Maningo was brilliant. He fitted in to our rather dynamic family group really well. He had a good mix of joining in, and doing his own thing. He got along well, and connected with, every person in the group. He was also very funny! We couldn’t be happier with Maningo as a guide. He was great at spotting animals and very knowledgeable. He even took the time to send us a few emails after our safari finished, which is really nice.

Maningo was absolutely wonderful. While we were with Maningo I had could be completely relaxed knowing we were in good hands. The only time I was nervous was after Maningo dropped us off at the Mwanza airport and we had to negotiate on our own (although it all worked out fine). Maningo’s knowledge of the animals and plants was perfect and his interaction with our group made us feel like we had known him forever. He handled our special side trip to Puge without any problems or the slightest complaint I did feel we imposed on his tremendously since the side trip resulted in him having a long trip home to Arusha. Never a complaint on anything from Maningo. He was perfect for us.

Maningo was a perfect fit for us. He was very knowledgeable about the animals as well as the birds as Dan is a birder. We appreciated him not talking non-stop (as we saw other guides doing at dinner!) He usually joined us after dinner to talk about the next day. This worked best for us.
