Wilfred is the best!! He was our guide and he was wonderful. We were fully aware of how educated and knowledgeable he was but when we were around other guides (when dining, etc) we noticed how much more informative and helpful he was over other guides (not-A2T). He also made sure we were protected and kept us aware of areas not safe. Just before we said goodbye to Wilfred and he put us on a plane to Zanzabar Island I found a problem with the tanzanite earrings I had purchased 2 days prior. That shop was 2 days down the road – we didn’t have time to handle the situation. I left the earrings with Wilfred, he drove to the shop, exchanged the earrings, confirmed they were perfect, drove them to A2T, shipped them to Zanzabar and they were waiting for me at the airport in Zanzabar when we were leaving. That took a lot of work, heck A2T already had our money and Wilfred already completed his job, they didn’t have to do all of that. Are they awesome or what? We felt so lucky to have had him with us. Wilfred was knowledgable, experienced, friendly, and willing to accommodate all of our needs and interests. When he needed us to do things his way, it was in our best interest and he was diplomatic in guiding us to see this. There was nothing he would not do to make sure our experience was outstanding. His driving ability and knowledge of the Serengeti was superb.

Outstanding. We bonded with Wilfred. He has the ability to place the Land Cruiser in the best position for pictures. Great personality and knowledge of the game and people. We have a friend for life.

We were Wilfred’s first priority. We felt that we were in very good hands. He was very attentive to our safety and comfort. He was an excellent driver and we had total confidence in his skills and experience. He clearly loves his country and the wildlife and he wanted to share what he knew with us not only about the wildlife but about culture. A memorable moment is teaching Natalie to count to 10 at dinner. He wanted us to see the harder animals to spot, like the leopard and the cheetah, and he went out of his way to find them for us. He is just an overall good guy who is very sincere and hardworking. He has a bit of a quieter disposition (which is not mean to be negative but reflects his more serious nature). We would recommend Wilfred to anyone traveling to Tanzania.

I cannot express in words how much I love Wilfred! He was an outstanding guide and took good care of us from start to finish. Wilfred had a great knowledge of wildlife and was amazing at seeing animals to point out to us. He also had a pleasant personality and a great sense of humor. We had so much fun with Wilfred and I don’t remember ever laughing as much as I did on this trip. We enjoyed sharing our meals with Wilfred and really felt like family by the end of the trip. I never expected I would make a friend for life with our safari guide, but with Wilfred I know that I have. When we return to Tanzania some day, I can only imagine doing so with Wilfred as our guide. I will definitely recommend to our friends that they use Access 2 Tanzania and that they request Wilfred as their guide.

We absolutely loved our trip and, most especially, our incredible guide Wilfred. We can’t recommend him highly enough. From the moment he picked us up at the airport, he was professional, friendly, kind and always on the lookout for some way to delight us–whether that was spotting an adorable baby elephant, or picking up tasty snacks, or making a special stop so I could buy some beautiful fabric (for which he negotiated a great price). It didn’t take more than a day or so before he was one of us, laughing and singing and joining in our conversation, mock-interviews on the GoPro camera and just general silliness. I can’t remember the last time I laughed as much as I did on this trip. Wilfred told us that, at each camp, all the other guides would ask about our group because they saw what a good time we were having together. We weren’t even drunk, as many suspected, we were just enjoying ourselves tremendously, and Wilfred was a big reason why. Wilfred did a great job making sure we were comfortable. He was knowledgeable about the animals we saw. He went out of his was to make sure we saw some really exciting stuff.

Wilfred is amazing. We spent about 12 days with him, and by the end the three of us were just as comfortable talking about family and life as we were sitting in companionable silence. We were a perfect match for each other in temperament. He went out of his way to make our trips easy. We told him we walked Moshi and felt a little uncomfortable in our first morning. He volunteered to walk us around town without us asking. He saw I liked coke, so he started picking up snacks and sodas for us, again without asking and certainly free of charge. We didn’t finish a few of our lunch boxes, he noticed and asked us what we liked and didn’t like. He talked to the various lodges and camps and told them, every box going forward was completely finished. We were in Central Serengeti, but I had an itch to see the Wildebeest migration. It was far away and no one knew exactly where. He easily could have said “sure, I’ll try” and told us it was impossible. Instead, he found a way to get us to the middle of the migration.
