Best guide we could have asked for!

We couldn’t imagine a better safari guide than Willy. He has expert knowledge of Tanzania – its history, culture, and people; the landscape and habitats; and of course the animals. He is a wonderful ambassador for Tanzania and regularly highlighted our similarities across cultures, regardless of country of origin. As a safari guide, we were in awe of his calm driving and navigation skills in crazy challenging terrain and vast landscapes with virtually no signage. We’re convinced Will has a supernatural power that enables him to spot creatures of all sizes (he once backed up after turning a corner in Tarangire National Park to show us a dung beetle on the road trying mightily to push a ball of dung up an incline). And his knowledge of the habitats and animals is deep – we’re not birders but Will knew the name and interesting details about every single bird we encountered, not just the big mammals that you’d expect a guide to be knowledgeable about. We were so happy to have had a chance to meet Will and spend a week with him and learn from him. We definitely hope to cross paths again!
